Our Artisans' Stories

Ruby and Rani grew up in the small village of Faridpur, where opportunities for young girls were almost nonexistent. Their parents, despite their struggles, always dreamed of a better future for their daughters. Yet, with little education and no exposure beyond their village, the sisters believed their lives were destined for household chores and endless responsibilities.

Everything changed in May 2024 when they heard about Tender Heart NGO and Zoonie. With courage and hope, they enrolled in the stitching program.
At first, their hands trembled over the sewing machine, but with patience and practice, their fingers began to create magic. Their designs stood out, their confidence grew, and soon, they were among the best learners in the program. Recognizing their dedication, Zoonie offered them jobs in the stitching department in December 2024.

Usha: Redefining Strength

Usha had spent most of her life believing that financial stability was something only her husband could provide. With a child to care for, she never imagined she could contribute to her family's income. But deep inside, she wanted more—she wanted to be independent, to have a say in her family’s future.

Two years ago, she took a leap of faith and joined the stitching program at Tender Heart NGO. Learning the craft wasn’t easy, but she refused to give up. Stitch by stitch, she built not only beautiful pieces of fabric but also a sense of self-worth.
